What Is Cationic Fabric?

Cationic fabric is a kind of fabric with a specially treated cationic yarn, such as cationic polyester yarn or cationic nylon yarn.

Characteristics of cationic fabric

1. One of the characteristics of cationic fabric is the two-color effect. By using this feature, some two-color fabrics with yarn-dyed weaving can be replaced, thereby reducing the cost of fabrics. This is the characteristic of cationic fabric.

2. Cationic fabric has bright color and is very suitable for artificial fiber, but the washing and light fastness of natural cellulose and protein fabrics are very poor.

3. Cationic fabric has very good wear resistance. After adding some artificial fibers such as polyester and spandex, it has higher strength and better elasticity, and its wear resistance is second only to nylon.

4. Cationic fabric has some chemical properties, such as corrosion resistance, dilute alkali resistance, bleach resistance, oxidant resistance, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids, and also has some physical properties, such as UV resistance.

Disadvantages of cationic fabrics:

During the dyeing process of cationic fabrics, cationic yarns are more sensitive to temperature, so it is easy to produce samples out of the cylinder. The color is very accurate, but when it is finalized, the color changes again! Therefore, it is difficult to match the color of cationic fabrics, and it is not easy to change the color after finalization! Generally, when producing such fabrics, we should choose cationic dyes with better stability. Secondly, we should take a few meters before finalizing the bulk goods, record the finalization temperature, and finalize the bulk goods after the color is OK!
